Yoga & Pilates Instructor

Nancy Shea

Nancy began her Fitness and Spirituality studies in 1993 as one of the first Pilates Reformer students of Patricia Sprague Pilates in Williamsville, NY. She was looking for a non-invasive way to heal
herself after complications during her first childbirth kept her immobilized on her couch. Having a newborn to care for, she was determined to find a way to heal herself but without surgery. Between
acupuncture and working with the Pilates Reformer, she was able to not only heal herself but felt both physically and mentally stronger than before her injury … she was hooked! It wasn’t long before she
became a Stott certified Pilates Reformer teacher through Elaine Owen of Core Concept Pilates in Clarence, NY.

Around 2001 is when Nancy experienced her first yoga class in an adorable little studio called East Meets West in Williamsville, NY. The owner, Anita Greber, taught a Iyengar inspired class that Nancy
instantly fell in love with. It had the whole package; mind, body and spirit along with the precision and discipline she craved. The rest is history, she went on to explore and attain certifications and study with
international yoga teachers across the nation. Her in numerous styles of yoga include: Bikram, MYSORE Ashtanga, YogaWorks of NYC, JYB SUP (Stand up Paddleboarding) Hamptons, NY, Liberation Prison
Yoga (Trauma Informed based), Y12SR (Yoga for 12 Step Recovery), Level 1 Baptiste Power Yoga, and owner of Graceful Warrior Yoga,LLC. She is currently pursuing her 500HR Teacher Training Certification as
well as her certification in Integrative Manual Therapist and Human Movement Specialist from the Brookbush Institute. Her passion for helping people also includes a background in nutrition and personal
lifestyle coaching. She has studied at the Integrative Institute of Nutrition in NYC and worked as a Certified Low Glycemic Coach for Audubon Women's Medical Associates.

Nancy's naturally inquiring mind has always led her to modalities on the forefront of society and she enjoys being a student of life. Her pursuit to know the “why” something works and share that with her
clients lends to the trust and happiness her clients have with her and her abilities. Nancy believes in always being a student of life and continues to be active in Tae Kwon Do and has volunteered for BC/BS Summertime Canalside, High Schools, and community centers.
